A member asked:

Is thrombosis a circulatory disorder? also, do you know what part of the circulatory system is affected and what are the treatment options?

Can be: This is a complex question and often involves hereditary tendencies towards clotting easily (pro thrombotic) as well as structural abnormalities or injury to blood vessels (which cn stimulate the clotting process). Clots can then be arterial (typically driven by platelet aggregation in high pressure/flow arteries) or venous (clots occurring due to stasis of blood in low flow veins).

Also veins: If a thrombus is in the leg deep veins calf pain and swelling occurs. This requires a dr. Visit and blood thinners. If in the skin veins, moist heat and drugs like Motrin are used.
