A member asked:

What makes swelling come in a later stage in tennis elbow?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tennis elbow: Tennis elbow is a tearing of the tendon of the muscles that extend of straighten the wrist. You can imagine that this tearing itself can cause swelling. There can be an inflammatory response to the injury, which also causes swelling.
