Supportive care: Aim is supportive care. Physical and occupational thera;y are provided to maximize any remaining function. If the paralysis is temporary, the pt and ot contribution is to make the person as flexible and capable of any improvement possible. Dietary management is necessary and care of the skin to avoid skin breakdown. Also a need to provide emotional support for the patient and family.
