Have you done PT?: Management of rotator cuff problems is fairly controversial. One thing that most surgeons agree on is that if you do not have an "injury event" and you don't have a rotator cuff tear then physical therapy may be a good idea. The goal of the therapy is to stretch your shoulder and strengthen the rotator cuff muscles so that they are less prone to inflammation. I would see someone for an evaluation.

Try your exercises: I would consider trying the rotator cuff strengthening x-rays and if these are painful i would see your shoulder specialist. Thank you.
