A member asked:

Can there be a link between being asian and having poor vision ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort of: In western counties, asians, especially chinese and japanese, seems to have a higher incidence of myopia. This may be because immigrants from these countries have a higher incidence of myopia to begin with. Other factors are possible. These are not pathologic - that is poor vision is not the problem since theirs can be corrected to normal.
