How severe?: If you are experiencing respiratory distress and having difficulty breathing, you should seek emergent care. However, the damage caused by a single episode is usually not likely to produce long term consequences unless you are repeatedly exposed on a regular and prolonged fed basis. If you have lingering concerns, see your primary care md and get a baseline study.
