A member asked:

Can a period end 3 days earlier rather then end on the fifth day with a person with an eating disorder and if so , why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Menstrual periods can be of varying duration whether or not there is an eating disorder. It is usually not a sign of a problem. Eating disorders can increase the amount of menstrual variation by inducing hormonal changes in the system.
