Dryness: Playing a video game is a concentrated effort which involves lowering the blinking rate from a normal of about 17 to as little as 5 per minute. This leaves the eyes open for a longer time which promotes dryness. This causes the irritation and redness you are experiencing. The only other possibility is that the place where you play the games has chemicals in the air.
