Observe it: If no fever, chills, sweats, increased back pain, increased leg pain or weakness then observe it. If you have any of these, it may suggest you have discitis, which will require that you immediately see your spinal surgeon. Always better to have some numbness than pain -- if new leg numbness also see you spinal specialist. If any changes in your bowel/bladder function see your spinal specialist.
