Depends on you havi-: Ng any pain or discomfort, swelling etc. If none then you probably have healed. The gap medially should gradually close, as it does in majority of cases. Mostly the gap is due to soft tissue caught between the fragments medially. Surgery would be needed only if you have the above mentioned symptoms or signs like tenderness, swelling, inability to bear any weight on the foot.

Depends: On the size of the gap. If small you might just need a bone stimulator if large then orif is likely.
