A member asked:

What is the adequate amount of magnesium does a 38yr old female with hypothyroidism need to help with muscle pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: First of all, have your magnesium blood level checked. If it is normal as i suspect, supplemental magnesium is not needed and a low magnesium is not the cause of the pain. Hypothyroidism can cause muscle pain so make sure your thyroid tests are normal.
