Had cough with plegm, headache sorethroat (right side) for 5 days. been taking phenylephrine & acetylcysteine gven by doctor. it even got worse.

Cough & Headache: Try Normal Saline inhalations or spray watch your blood pressure and heart rate with the meds you are taking. Problems: environment exposures, immunizations : flu, pertussis, strept throat ? Nasal sinus infection or allergies ? If you are not improving or getting worst you need to see md. I don't use acetylcysteine.
