See below: Ringworm on the scalp would present with swelling in the area (often boggy), areas of broken hairs at the base looking like black dots and redness. If you have this, you need treatment for the ringworm.

Hi doctors..dermatology question. I have seborrheic dermatitis. Is it safe to use something like Selsun Blue or TGel/TSal directly on my scalp..I am virtually bald, with no hair to act as a buffer. Sometimes causes mild irritation. Anything better?
