How long can you have gonorrhea before getting very very sick, like hospitalization sick?

Disseminated GC: Disseminated gonorrhea is, thankfully, a very rare event. In most cases it stays local to where is infecting and does not disseminate. But, rarely it does disseminate. Thus as we say on here all of the time; if you are a sexually active person you need regular std screening. I also encourage my patients to know all twelve common stds and how they are prevented.
