Get seen: It is almost certainly not cancer, and i'm betting it's a ganglion cyst. Your physician can take a look at it if it's still present in 2 weeks.

The more common : Thing in your age range is a small retinacular cust or ganglion, a fluid filled sac that comes off the joint or tendon sheath and if it is it is harmless except for the mechanical discomfort it causes. Many of these go away on their own but sometimes treatment for the larger ones can be successful with inejction/aspirtation. Surgery can also remove these.
