Can person smoke and have drinks while on birthcontrol pills ?( alesse 28)

Not a good idea: Bcp's alone may increase risk of forming blood clots & smoking greatly increases that risk (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism). Alcohol might slightly thin the blood but it's not a good idea to mix alcohol with any drugs.

DANGER: As I am sure you are aware, thus the question, smoking while taking hormones increases the risk of blood clots and death. No ethical physician would prescribe these products if they knew the female was smoking.
