Liver: With liver disease the most important thing is liver enzyme function. If her liver enzymes are elevated then this will affect the metabolism of certain medications - oxycodone being one of them. Oxycodone requires the cypd enzymes in the liver and with disease the cypd may be altered. While it is not contraindicated these medications must be used with extreme caution. If encephalopathy is present.
