A member asked:

How do you define severe asthma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Severe asthma: Depends on clinical symptoms, number of exacerbations in a month and monitoring of lung function via a spirometer. A pulmonologist and /or allergist can treat it and follow it closely and keep it under control.
