A member asked:

Can an emergency contraceptive pill taken only twice in a lifetime cause any serious long term effects? not frequent use side effects.only twice

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: There is no evidence that taking it twice will cause any acute or long term side effects - however it is much easier to just avoid unprotected sex as, as even the day after pill doesn't protect you from HIV and std infections.
