Belly pain: Kidney stones can hurt like heck. You may feel very severe crampy pain [some folks say it's as strong as childbirth pain!]. You may see blood in your pee.

Pain & blood in urin: Kidney stones can cause back, flank, & abdominal pain, usually tracking along the course of the ureter. They also cause blood in the urine, and nausea and vomiting.

See urologist: When the stones get into ureter, can cause severe flank pain until passed . Blood in urine common. Can get kidney infection from poor drainage of bacteria through urine. Can also get kidney failure. Found by ct or xray. Treatment can be eswl to break them up, medications to dissolve, ureter stents to drain, drainage tubes through skin into kidney, surgical removal of kidney, and antibiotics, .

Kidney stones: Severe to moderate pain in the flanks ( one of them) radiating towards the groin or genital area associated with blood in the urine(microscopically) or to frank bleeding in the urine. It may be associated to a urinary tract infection. They ( the stones) may be present causing no pain but red blood cells are present in the urinalysis, or pt has frequent utis. Back pain seldom means pain from kidne.

See below: Commonly severe pain in the back commonly referred to the loin area, below the rib area, either side of the spine , in the flank area , and traveling down sometime to the front of the abdomen other symptoms may be blood in the urine which looks like the color of cola.
