A member asked:

My father had an eye injury, his eyes is hit by a sharp leaf and it start swelling, we don't know what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seek help: It sounds like a possible cut or abrasion of the conjunctiva (white part) or possibly cornea (clear part). It's also possible that there is a chemical irritative reaction to the leaf's surface. Pain, swelling, visual changes, mucoid discharge are all important reasons to seek an evaluation by an eye md for treatment.
