Indication 4 surgery: When deciding about elective surgical procedure, the risk/benefit analysis helps determine if surgical risk and anticipated benefit will offset risk of non-surgical therapy. Important to have family with you for this analysis to ask questions, this question, to surgical team. Stripping the peritoneum after multiple prior procedures warrants asking more questions, consider 2nd surgical opinion.
