A couple of things..: Depending on how irregular your periods are, you may not be ovulating. If your periods occur more than 35 days apart, or if more often than every 21 days- then you may not be ovulating and you would need assistance with medications or treatments to ovulate. Testing: There can be a number of reasons for having irregular periods. Certain blood tests can rule out an endocrine problem. If these are normal, you would most likely benefit from medications that help you ovulate and therefore have more regular menstrual cycles. See your doctor to discuss these issues.
