All exercise helps: Kegel exercises are used to strenghten the pelvic floor and have been studied more in women than men. They may be abl to help with aiding badic bowel function and/or urinary and bladder issues, but nobody has proven anything. Practitioners or yoga and pilates and other "core" strengthening have long understood that fix the core and many things will work better, so never a bad exercise to do.
