See dermatologist: There are many prescriptions to treat acne nowadays including epiduo, retin a, (tretinoin) benzaclin, aczone and others. Occasionally oral antibiotics or birth control pills also are prescribed if needed. Diet can also play a role. Avoiding excessive dairy consumption and limiting high glycemic index foods like chocolate can be helpful. Consult a dermatologist to evaluate and treat the acne.
