Yes: You are well describing a phenomenon that happens with hemangiomas. These typically are worse when the child is 18 months to 24 months. They typically go away by themselves at 2 to 3 years. The only time that we worry about them is when they are close to the eyes, nose or mouth. Have your physician examine your child to make sure these are not a concern.
