Best..: Is get glucose control. That and over the counter benfotiamine 600 mg/d and lipoic acid 600 mg/d help heal damage to nerves, delay or prevent progression all other meds are 'cover-ups' eg: lyrica, (pregabalin) neurontin, cymbalta or the narcotics.
