Some: Hiv, syphilis, hepatitis b and c, and herpes can show up in blood tests, but gonorrhea and chlamydia, as well as hpv, would not.

If ordered: It's also important to note that specific tests do need to be ordered. If your doc just wanted to "check some basic blood work, " he/she may or may not have specifically ordered std tests unless you had discussed it. It would not be included in a typical blood count or even comprehensive metabolic panel.
