Rather frequent: Amongst the major diabetes complications such as kidney and eye problems, is presence of nerve involvement. This is more common in type ii, and if ignored has potential for foot ulcers, and even amputations. Tight control of serum glucose is only part of this. A medical food metanx may be very useful. Not unique for nerve problems to be caused by different problems, and this needs evaluation.
