Can there be a way to somehow block out the taste of cough syrup?

Blockyour nose: If you pinch your nose shut during the actual ingestion of the cough syrup it may help dull the taste. Otherwise, chase it with something like chocolate milk, grape juice or solid tasty things like skittles of m&m's.
