Specializes in Wound care

Job description: While nurse are extraordinarily skilled and integral to wound healing, they are not trained to establish a diagnosis. They assess the wound by evaluating it and then reporting their findings to a physician. Physicians are trained to identify the cause of the wound, look at the many related factors and then create a plan of treatment. It is the nurses responsibility to carry out the treatment plan.
