Got a mallet finger. how long will i be out of commission?

Mallet finger: I typically recommend 8 weeks of full time and 4/6 weeks of night time and part time activity splinting on the distal joint only . I wouldn't say out of commission as you ca n work with a mallet finger that is splinted . Dirk nowitzki played in the 2011 nba finals with this injury.
