Is there a cure for urethritis?

Antibiotics: Urethritis is typically caused by neisseria gonorrheae (gonorrhea) or other things like chlamydia (non-gonococcal urethritis). In any case, it is typically treated with antibiotics. This is typically an std so any sexual partners will need to be informed, tested and treated as well.

I agree: I agree with dr. Ferdowsi. However, in older women low hormones can cause urethritis also. Topical estrogen applied to the urethra can help with the inflammation of the urethra in this group of patients.
