Light diffraction: The small laser opening produced allows a small amount of light through it which is what you are seeing. Usually creates a horizontal line below the center of your vision. If the opening is irregular, the image you see may be different. This occurs primarily with iridotomies done in the superior iris, particularly as the superior eyelid crosses the laser opening, tear meniscus diffracts light thru.
