Hemorrhage: The most common cause of a red eye on one part is innocuous bleeding under the conjunctiva due to a weak eye vessel. These usually cause no pain and do not affect the vision. And will spontaneously clear without the need for treatment. If there is pain, or the vision is changed, then it should be evaluated by your ophthalmologist.
