A member asked:

Can androgel have the same effect as a selfinjection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Androgel is another method of administering testosterone, and is generally better than injections. It can return levels to normal but gives a normal level throughout the 24 hour day. Injections give an immediate spike to above normal levels, followed by several days of rapid decline to below normal levels before the next injection. Unless cost is a factor, gels are generally better than injections.
