Recovery after hip replacement surgery is relatively short, correct?

Yes: Recovery from hip replacement is short involving assisted walking, falls prevention, and general strengthening. The leg may hurt and swell for a few weeks after surgery, so pushing it too fast is unwise. In general, though, mobility returns quickly.

It depends: If you are comparing it to a knee replacement or a shoulder replacement then the answer is "yes it is probably shorter." however, the length of recovery is quite dependent on other variables, including patient factors, surgical factors and postop therapy factors that may make the recovery faster or slower.
