Do ct scans detect glaucoma?

No: Tonometry, a simple, painless procedure that measures your internal eye pressure (intraocular pressure), after numbing your eyes with drops is usually the initial screening test for adult glaucoma. Ct does not make the diagnosis though sometimes the side effects of glaucoma, such as retinal detachment, may be seen.

No: Ct scans don't diagnose glaucoma. Ophthalmologists do.

No: The issue is glaucoma is elevated eye pressure which usually does not distort tissue in the eye in the range of a ct scan. There are many tests useful to discover glaucoma which your ophthalmologist can obtain for you..
