A member asked:

Is there a certain consistency to first trimester bleeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Bleeding although not uncommon in pregnancy should not occur. Any bleeding in your pregnancy should be evaluated by your physician. There is no normal bleeding or consistency. Many women that bleed during pregnancy go on to carry their pregnancy to term, but others don't. So if you are pregnant and bleeding go see your ob.
