A member asked:

Why does my vagina has a smell when i was just tested for any bv and the test was negative and also tested for sti's/ std's and everything was good?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginal odor: Diet, particularly what women drink, can affect vaginal odor as well as infections. Soda, pop, coffee, tea, juice, alcohol, flavored water, and electrolyte drinks are all diuretics; they make a woman very dry, and sometimes her vaginal secretions very thick and odorous. Drinking plain water, decreasing diuretics, and eating fresh fruit and vegetables (natural water) help if this is the cause.
