A member asked:

I am on lexamil and i have a strabismus surgery coming up? will this interfere with my surgery and if am under anesthesia or something?

Hopefully not: You ask a great question and it is best addressed by the anesthesiologist who will be doing the sedation. Ask your surgeon now about it in case there are any precautions....I do not think you will have to stop it though.

It is fine. : It shouldn't be a problem. Many people take ssri medications. They should be continued through the peri-operative period.

No: This will not interfere with the anesthesia, but i would make sure that your anesthesiologist knows about all medications that you are on. Good luck.
