Bulge or weak spot: If you picture a bike tire with a tube in it, if the tire gets a hole, the tube can bulge out through it--that is a rough analogy. It is a stretched & weakened spot in the heart muscle, usually after a heart attack. Your dr / cardiologist will order an echocardiogram to identify it and monitor its status. Complication: Ventricular-heart aneurysms follow heart damage and dilation of the damaged wall. Echo, or cath or some imaging is the usuall defining test. One may have it and not know it = asymptomatic for periods of time, then symptoms may occur.
