Forever : Once u have the hemrrhoids they do not go away. Ur symptoms can be controlled by avoiding constipation and bulking up stool ( high fiber diet and lots of water). If not better with diet, may have to have surgery. It can be painful though so u should only consider surgery as a last resort.
