I have a vp shunt i have a fever of 103.9, nausea, vom., &headache.is this just an illness i should ride out, or can it somehow be related to the shunt?

Call your doctor: I am sure your doctor would want to know about a fever and your other symptoms with your vp shunt. Your illness might not be related , but the consequences of missing a related infection could be serious. Good luck in your evaluation.

See your doctor: With those symptoms combined with your history, i would suggest that you get it evaluated. It may be a viral illness, but better to be safe.
