Unlikely: Iron deficiency anemia may occur due to excessive menstrual blood loss and may occasionally be associated with missed period, but if you are 4-5 days past the expected date of your period, i would recommend that you do a home pregnancy test.

Unlikely. : An fe deficiency state severe enough to cause missed periods would be associated with a significant anemia, and like one from which you would be experiencing noticable symptoms. If you are experiencing irregularities in your periods, particularly if they were once normal in quality, frequency, and duration, you need to see your physician. They may refer you to an ob/gyn or endocrinology specialist.
