A member asked:

If i have taken bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) before and was fine, now taking it again, can i still get stevens-johnson syndrome?

Possible : You can develop an allergic reaction to a medication at anytime, even if you have taken it before. If you are concerned you are having an allergic reaction, stop taking the medication and contact your doctor right away.

Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): Stevens johnson syndrome can occur at any time from Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and is unpredictable but is very rare. If your doctor thinks Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is a good choice for you, take it.
