Shampoo: There are shampoos that can help: selsun type shampoos are over the counter and not too expensive; they have selenium sulfide in them. Best way to use is to build up some foam and let it sit on your scalp for a few minutes before washing out. Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo can be beneficial too. "scalpicin" is another possibility.

Seborrhoic dermatiti: Daily shampooing and combing helps but if you use 1 percent Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo over the counter you will have an excellent result.
