Brown = blood: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Possibilities: You could have an infection or a problem with your endometrial lining where it isn't sloughing off normally. This might be related to a hormone problem or a structural problem . If you are sexually active sometimes a missed pregnancy can cause this. You should really get checked by your gyn; it might be nothing serious but any persistent discharge merits an exam.

It could be : Normal cervical discharge but still see your gyn and get checked for vaginal infection. Take care !
