Fever and blisters : Chickenpox is caused by the varicella virus. There is often an initial associated fever and a rash that consists of small blisters on a red base (dew drop on a rose petal appearance). There may also be sores in the mouth. Most people have either been vaccinated or can be immune from childhood exposure. Blood titers can be checked to see if you are immune or have been recently infected. See doctor.
