Sick or well person?: Everybody has a temperature. The temperature inside the body can be about 97.6 to 99.6 degrees (usually 98.6). So, a person who is very healthy and measures 97.3 may be normal in temperature and just has a thermometer that gave a slightly lower number. If a person is sickly or has some unusual symptoms, then 97.3 may be a reflection of the illness (hormonal problem, infection, anorexia, etc...).
